What is Nishihari?ABOUT
Located in the western part of Hyogo Prefecture, the Nishi-Harima region is blessed with abundant nature, including the sea, mountains, and rivers, as well as delicious food.
It consists of five cities and six towns: Himeji City, Aioi City, Tatsuno City, Ako City, Shiso City, Kamikawa Town, Ichikawa Town, Fukusaki Town, Taishi Town, Kamigori Town, and Sayo Town.
The southern part faces the Seto Inland Sea, with its beautiful scenery of indented coastlines and islands of all sizes, and is rich in fresh seafood caught in the Harima Nada Sea. The Harima Plain stretches across the center, and numerous rivers flow from the Chugoku Mountains in the north, including the Ibo River, a first-class river, as well as the Yumesaki River and Ichikawa River. Nishi-Harima is dotted with popular tourist cities, including Himeji, home to Himeji Castle, Japan's first World Heritage Site; Tatsuno, a castle town known as Harima's Little Kyoto; and Ako, the town of loyal samurai famous for the Chushingura story.
We will promote the colorful charms of Nishiharima, including spectacular seasonal views, tourist spots, and local cuisine.
